Product :This beautiful pair of Louis XVI cabriolet armchairs display all the classic feautures of neoclassical fauteuils: a light delicate style curved backs open armrests elbow pads and wide seats. The wood frame displays elegant fluting round tapering legs and pegged joints. They were redecorated and reupholstered in the 1950s by renowned antique dealer and decorator Madelaine Castaign with upholstery that imitates French faience pottery designs from the 18th century. The same fabric was used to create draped skirts edged with fringes and accentuated by tassels.
