    These double patina Empire style ewers feature folliate scrollwork decoration throughout the body accentuated with terminal figures in the shape of winged maidens and lion-head door knockers. The gadrooned stem sits atop a round red marble base. On the back of the ewers a grotesque bearded mask surmounted by a sphinx issue the double-scroll handles decorated with the mask of a putto and terminating in a dolphin's head above the stylized spout.
