Product :While Calier's still life compositions are highly realistic his Belle Epoque genre paintings and interiors are bathed in a combination of moonlight and warm diffused light coming from a shaded lamp or a lit fireplace. The scenes incorporate a colorful intense palatte creating a particular atmosphere through an almost fantastical use of color. His boudoir scenes mostly depict women in intimate lavish settings dressed in airy and delicate robes and submerged in reading playing an instrument or engrossed in contemplation often obvlivious to the presence of the viewer. Signed on the bottom right corner. Comes in gilded frame witrh embossed nameplate.
