Product :
Passionate about the customs and fashions of his time Kratké paid great attention to detail when rendering garments and accesories in his canvases. The fine quality of the dress and hat are rendred crisply in this promenade scene with vibrant colors and a deft technique that brings to life the qualities and textures of the materials and fabric. The soft ethereal beauty of the flowers is captured through swift delicate brushtrokes and expert use of color. Signed and dated L. Kratké 1878 on the bottom right corner. Panel stamped on the reverse by maker (fading): Tasset & Lhote / Encadrements / 31 rue Fontaine / Paris / Toiles Couleurs Fines.
