Educating a Young Prince or How to Make a Prince a Man is one of the many etchings carried out by Paul Allais (1827 – ?) during his lifetime. He worked like his father before him using the burin engraving acid-etching and mezzotint techniques. This particular print was based on an original work by Joseph Coomans—a scene typical of the artists style and his prefered subject. Printed at the notable Charles Chardon press in Paris.
