    About the painter: Edouard Aimé Pils was a French painter from the 19th century. He painted genre scenes still lifes and portraits. His art was exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1845 to 1949. One year before his death he was awarded the third Rome priz

    These two oval canvases and frames of two genre scenes depict a court at the castle grounds in the 18th century. Oil on oval canvas signed on the lower right side and dated 1844 featuring old original frames gilded with leaves. It includes a certificate of authenticity. Excellent condition. Dimensions: 67 cm x 56 cm (each canvas) and 83 cm (height) x 70 cm (width) x 7 cm (depth) (each frame).
