  • Product :
A master of both colors and flowers Michel Henry created sublime bouquets throughout his career. Bathed in light by a window set against architectural landscapes or simply lighting up a dark corner of a house his bouquets bring to life the most subtle hues and the wonderful exotism of each flower through careful composition and a rigorous technique. His style was all the more surprising in contrast with the more nostalgic and mournful colour palettes and themes that most other painters in France had adopted after the war. This colorful composition of poppy anemones in striking shades of violet and magenta bears the artist's signature on the bottom left corner.
